Public Policy/Organizing Announcement

Over the past few years, the Foundation has taken steps to improve how it measures the impact of its grantmaking, including its public policy/organizing work.  The Foundation’s public policy/organizing strategies apply to all of the three major funding areas: affordable housing, civic engagement, and teen development.  We believe that supporting public policy/organizing efforts can advance the Foundation’s mission: “to increase economic and social justice and power within low-income communities in Boston and Chelsea, Massachusetts.”  Revised documents for the public policy/organizing strategies are available in the Downloads section. These documents were all created with substantive feedback from many of our grantees.  We are very grateful to everyone who shared his or her thoughts and opinions!   Please note that the new public policy/organizing documents have not changed the Foundation’s grantmaking guidelines.
