When to Submit a Letter of Interest (LOI)
If you are not sure if your organization “fits” the Foundation’s grantmaking guidelines or eligibility requirements, you may submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) to the Foundation. This can save time for you and for the Foundation staff.

A Letter of Interest should provide a brief summary of your organization, the focus of the potential funding request to Hyams and how you believe that it addresses the Foundation’s funding guidelines.
Before submitting an LOI, we encourage you to contact Shani Pankam by email email@example.com or telephone to discuss your letter. Ms. Pankam will either assist you directly or refer you to a program officer to provide additional guidance and advice. You also are welcome to contact a program officer directly.
